  2. Arcata Pet now offers a photo scanning service.  Turn your favorite
  3. bird pictures into computer graphics.  We have the hardware and software
  4. to produce high resolution images from your prints or 35mm slides.  As
  5. an incentive to try the service, and a bonus for registering BirdData,
  6. we will produce two scans for free, with no shipping charges.
  7.  
  8. To be fair for those who registered BirdData before this offer was
  9. available, or who decide to try it later, this offer is extended to
  10. include prior registrants.  In that case, please include the shipping
  11. charges, and write "Already Registered" on the order form.
  12.  
  13. We will also include a shareware utility by the author of BirdData,
  14. called WWPlus.  With this utility, you may display the images as your
  15. Windows Wallpaper, or use them as a screensaver, or both.  The utility
  16. also allows resizing and cropping of the images, as well as reducing
  17. the color depth to 256 or 16 colors.

  19. WWPlus also supports format conversion between .BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PCX,
  20. .TIF, and .TGA formats.

  22. Please note your maximum screen size and color depth on the order form.

  24. Any type of color or black and white image may be sent, not just bird
  25. pictures, however please no copyrighted material (unless you own the
  26. copyright).

  28. The quality of the scan will reflect the quality of the original.  Choose
  29. sharp, well focused images.

  32. scans of our own bird photos from the Bird Library of PETSFORUM.

  87. generally in the same packaging where possible.  Every care will be
  88. taken with your originals, but Arcata Pet cannot be held liable for
